1.4. Securing with SSL

To secure your Momentum access with SSL: 

1. Click the gear icon (from top right corner) and select “Settings” option. 

2. Under the SSL Settings section: 

1. Click “Enable SSL” checkbox 

2. Provide SSL Port. Make sure this port is publicly accessible.  

3. Domain name: make sure the SSL certificate are valid for this domain or sub-domain. 

4. SSL KeyStore password: The password used in the SSL KeyStore file 

5. Browse and upload the SSL KeyStore file. 

6. Click “Enable SSL” button 

Clicking the “Enable SSL” button restarts the Momentum server and it may take a few minutes before Momentum is accessible. 

If everything goes well and SSL certificate is valid for the domain, access Momentum using the https://domain-name:port/mv-admin 

If anything goes wrong and Momentum is not accessible using https, access using the non-SSL URL. You may have to try again if https does not work.  

Some of the common errors with SSL settings could be due to the following reasons: 

1. The KeyStore password is incorrect 

2. KeyStore file is invalid 

3. Port number is invalid or port is blocked by your network firewall. 

4. Domain name is invalid, incorrect, or the KeyStore file is not valid for this domain.
